doing variety and mc is fine, they have been doing that since debut and it's a way of keeping their name out there, but acting takes too much time and if they aren't perfect, knetz will hate them without a end, they don't like idols that turn to actors that much, unless they think they are talented and pretty, and if they do acting, they can't start with a major main role, they need experience with small roles, otherwise, koreans will rip them apart.

well, first thing first. we're just fans. we have no authority to decide our Idol's future career, telling them what to do and what not to do. we can only simply appreciate if their work makes us happy. and if it's not, we have to refrain ourself for not to bash or saying negative things about them.

and samething for the company. SouMu must have their own marketing/business experts. I'm sure they already have plan for the girls. which one that makes the most money for them. either concerts, events, collaboration, solo or selling goods. if they think that making the girls to become actress is less-profited, then they would avoid that. so, you can rest assured.

as for MC or variety shows, as far as I know, it's only a side-job. to promote their album or to maintain their popularity. if they didn't show up on TV or any media for a long time, it may decrease their value. if public think that the girls is not trending anymore, or their popularity is overshadowed by other idols, SouMu will have hard time to sell goods, concert tickets or even not invited to events/festivals. that's why making the girls work outside singing and dancing is also important.

as for the girls, keep in mind that they are human beings too, they have feelings. they have their own mind, future goals and life-principles. they have free will. and as normal human they can experience fatigue and boredom. so that in their future as artist, they may want to try another career beside singing/dancing. if that happens, please respect them.

one more thing, saying them "lazy" is harsh. they are not our dancing robot, that we can forced them only to singing and dancing... :/

While I agree that the girls are singers and performers first, their other activities carry weight. Variety shows give the girls exposure to a broader audience and additional experience on camera and social presence. For myself, it wasn't until I saw Yerin on Running Man that sparked my curiosity and after watching the girls on Weekly Idol sealed the deal. I like music in general and my love for K-Pop is as strong as ever. So what hooked me (in addition to their songs) was their personalities and entertainment value. I saw something special in the girls and I may not have noticed it if it weren't for their appearances on variety shows. Because of it, I'm not only a fan, but here dedicating my time for GFRIEND. :)

I have my reservations as actors...It's rather a "Let's wait and see what happens". Who knows, one or two or a few may have the knack to be good actresses. Time will tell. I think modeling, CF's, MC'ing, and Radio DJ's are in their future, of course while keeping up with their music careers. I also hope they continue appearing in variety shows too. As of now, I'm fairly confident music and performing is in their hearts.

I'd like to see them happy and successful in whatever they do and I support them. I hope too that Source Music makes the right choices and give the girls the opportunities for their careers and growth as a group and as individuals. It can of course be a challenge to juggle all what they do, but with balance they can achieve these things.

As for now actress would be the least priority now. Maybe they can pursue it later, if they really and genuinely want to pursue the actress career. What they need now is to showcase their singers, musician, and dancing talent to general public directly via national TV Program. Umji did show her hidden talent as pianist that she posted in Instagram Story before. But it's better she did this in the public or TV program so that pubic will watch her directly.

Melancholy concept such as TFTMN, ROUGH, Sunrise is all about vocal and emotion that need to weight more on their vocal ability. That's why I suggest them to show-off their vocal ability to general public directly.

Usually the BPM of such concept need to be slower but this is the first time I heard the melancholy music where it's fast BPM tempo. I think TFTMN and Sunrise is too fast for the audience to capture the emotion and melancholy feeling. Rough is a bit slower, and it did hit the sweet spot.

Oh, nice! I really liked MeloMance "Gift". In fact, I just purchased their "Moonlight" EP. :D

As for GFRIEND, "Starry Sky" is nice.

One of my favorite GFRIEND performances was on Immortal Songs 2, singing "Fox".
