  1. Hey, buddies, I'm back with my theory of Gfriend's latest comeback "Fever"! Let's get right into it! So first of all, I didn't expect the storyline actually continues In "Fever"(Or maybe not but I think it is). In "FEVER", The key character is definitely Yerin. I Personally Think The Key Word For This MV Would Be "Hope". Element 1: Outfit Color I Personally think the colors are a perfect indicator of emotions. Throughout the whole MV, we could see the members' keeps changing Or is it? Element 2: The Cactus The cactus has been made several appearances in the MV, what do they actually resemble? Element 3: Change Of Time Does the change of the time actually mean something? I Think "FEVER" could be a conclusion of the whole storyline. In that case, I'll separate the theories into three parts based on time. Part 1: Daytime: (Eunha Just Went Missing) (0:02) Notice the table Yerin sits on is actually the only table with 3 seats and all other tables have 4? The missing chair was later found sitting by Yuju at (0:44). There is no one with her and her impression is more like recalling something rather than meeting someone. Which I think she is recalling Eunha which "showed up" at (0:15). Notice Yerin is in Black and White like funeral clothes and her impression is definitely not positive but doesn't seem sad as well, that would a key part in this theory. I think during this part, it's all Yerin's imagination, such as at (0:23), she imagines Eunha is at a table with 4 chairs, which she is thinking Eunha must be lonely and wants to meet the other members(which she exclude herself). Let's have a summary of members outfit color during this period(excluding dancing outfits) SinB: Orange(0:32) Green(0:41) Umji: Blue(0:33) Green(0:39) Red(0:59) Yuju: Red(0:43) Blue(1:07) Purple(1:29) Sowon: Red(0:53) Blue(1:30) Eunha: Green(1:07), Black(1:22) Yerin: Green(1:10), Red(1:15) I personally think these shows the changing of emotions of members(except Eunha). Red/Orange normally means Angry and Anxiety. Blue/Purple normally means Sad. (WHICH I STRONGLY DISAGREE, BLUE IS SUCH AN INSPIRING COLOR) Green normally means Hope And Vigour. Black normally means Dark And Death. We could see that SinB, Umji, and Yerin all have been wearing Green in the mix of other colors. I think this shows they are the ones who have the faith that Eunha is still alive, which Eunha is their mind is wearing Green as well. For Yuju and Sowon, they haven't been wearing green, this shows that they didn't have the hope that Eunha is still alive. In their mind, Eunha is wearing Black. For this period of time, we could many different changes in terms of the emotions of members after Eunha went missing. Such as Yerin bounce back and forth between Red(Negative) and Green(Positive), Yuju's emotions become worse and worse, Red---Blue---Purple, etc. We could also see that Eunha has been wearing Green and Black back and forth which resembles the members hoping she would be still alive but doubt themselves. The most outstanding person is definitely Yerin, her outfit has kept switching colors until(2:00). This could show that the struggling of Yerin being processed in her mind. At this stage, Eunha just went missing and most members still have hope that Eunha would come back. Part 2: Midday (Eunha went missing for a while) During this period, the emotions of the members have been stable. Eunha probably has been missing for a while. We could see SinB is wearing Green(2:04) maybe she gets persuaded by Yerin and regains the hope to find Eunha? While Umji and Sowon are wearing Blue(2:06)(2:10). They are probably in deep sadness but Yerin at(2:10) is still in Green. However, at (2:23), Yerin's Green outfit looks dimmer, almost turn into yellow, this shows even Yerin herself is losing hope of Eunha is still alive. Eunha has been wearing Black during this period, shows most members consider she is deceased. Part 3: Summer Night (Eunha Missing For A Long Time) (Plant Hope And Refuel) Although most of the members in this period is still wearing outfits with negative emotion colors, Sowon in Blue(3:02), Umji in Red(3:03), SinB In White(Losing Emotion???)(3:07). But Yerin's outfit has been Green ALL THE TIME. And more importantly, Eunha is wearing Green ALL THE TIME. Maybe everyone is still in the pain and sadness of the left of Eunha, but at this time, the all have the HOPE that Eunha will come back one day. The Cactus resembles strong, tough and is famous for its survivability in the desert. The cactus here could be a resemble of Eunha, as the members hoping Eunha would be like cactus, stay alive until the day the meet again. Yerin put the cactus on a fueling machine, fueling machine resembles regain vitality, which on one side shows the members hope they could give power to Eunha on the other hand, it could be a sign of moving on. When we lose someone important in our lives, it would hurt, a lot, but life goes on and we have to learn to move on and shake off the sadness, anxiety and all other negative emotions. In the end, we could see all members standing in an oasis which a slanted structure. Oasis means HOPE once again, the slanted structure shows the collapsing confidence, but with the support of the HOPE(Oasis), the structure doesn't completely collapse, with Eunha wearing Green in the structure with all the other members, the scene concludes the whole storyline of not losing HOPE and always BELIEVE for a miracle. That about it for now! I was hoping for an ALIVE Eunha in this era but that doesn't seem to be the case... The Song IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and I'm really looking forward to hearing "Mr. Blue" a.k.a "Me(BlueRicky)" Haha, "Paradise" And All other songs in the album. That's it For Now! Let's Get This FEVER SEASON Started! PS: This was typed in a hurry as it's really late now... if I write something wrong, please DM me and I'll change it ASAP! A Dreamer Buddy, BlueRicky
  2. hello guys, this my first thread. There is one question that makes me confused along this time. what are this numbers meaning? https://ibb.co/k24J0SL https://ibb.co/MnFgZkb thank u very much for answering my question :).
  3. April 16th GFriend dropped a scheduler for their comeback. It was a shocking news for Buddies at midnight. News release thread: Yes. This is a schedule timetable that indicates for us TO GET READY FOR EVERYTHING. What more interesting about the scheduler is.. many of us have seen some details that caught our attention. The new logo, Symbolic/abstract word mark and its overall concept. It has been more interesting and exciting because there was a lot of details that can be connected in the previous eras. Many pointed out directly the resemblance of concepts from Fingertip and Love Whisper. So everybody thought it is something connected between the two. Let’s take a look in this summary. The start of Hints Sowon, Eunha and SinB already teasing us from the beginning by putting a moon emoticons and mentioning ‘night’ in their captions. The similarity of concepts Many pointed out it was similar to Love Whisper, which the design placed at the back of album. ‘Moon and star with hand’ Same in the photo cards too The logo design The logo design of ‘G’ in GFRIEND in Love Whisper similar with the current logo now. Both logo has star design. Is it connected to Fingertip logo also? Fingertip has design that looks like sun rays around the G and it is covered with black color. GFRIEND new logo, Time with the Moon Night is a nice representation logo of a moon concept. Not too overlook, fierce or too complicated but rather minimal vector of lines, dots and has balance of light objects. The abstract word mark logo that looks unique, not too feminine but looks mysterious that has also meaning behind. ㅇㅈㅊㄱ = 여자친구 Initials are Hangul version of GFRIEND and also numbers 0430 (April 30) as comeback date Let’s take a look in the poster. The border frame design has similarities with Fingertip border frame design from the album. Details of Frame borders: Instead of flowers, it was replaced with phases of moons. Phases of moons can be found in 4 areas in the border frame This is the full actual moon phase stages Pink moon is also mentioned For April 2018: Last Quarter- April 8 New Moon - April 16 First Quarter - April 23 Full moon - April 30 GFriend released the scheduler comeback in the same day April 16th which is New Moon and April 30th which scheduled as their comeback will be a Full Moon on that day. see this link https://www.moongiant.com/moonphases/April/2018 The Lettering design of the song title is similar with Season of GFRIEND first concert. This is perhaps a continuation or the introduction of new era this 2018. Buddies pointed out the similarity vibe from Dear Buddy promotional poster too Even the lettering and logo have the same 2 star pointed Buddies pointed out the constellations that found in Fingertip MV that possibly connected with Time for the Moon Night? It's like many Buddies believed that Time for the Moon Night is a continuation or like a second version of Fingertip according to the hairstyle and having girl crush looks. Started during Season of GFRIEND first concert, the girls showcased girl crush performance and recently keep promoting their songs in some events. Even in their past posts during 2017 Melon Music Award mentioned the title. It looks like they are giving hints in the beginning Is this really connected? or just another concept? Did Source Music intended to make these happened or was it coincidence? We will see the concept photos soon and will know more information about the comeback! What are your thoughts? Share it Buddy!
  4. Just some personal fantasies after watching the teasers. Really looking forward for the release of "Sunrise". Teaser 1 To be honest, Teaser 1 confuses me after I watched it the first time. But after repeat it a few times I have some singular reveries. The members' outfits have different styles throughout Teaser 1. Sowon, Umji, SinB looks like living in the current time, wearing fairly causal modern day clothes. While Yuju, Yerin, and Eunha wearing classical clothing. Something worth mentioning is that they are separated, none of them are together. Looks like they are living in different dimensions. However, I soon discovered that something weird. (0:03) SinB picks up the "Sunrise" Album. Notice that she has a speaker in the background and there are multiple things illustrate that she lives in a fairly modern time. But the album disk is only able to use on an old phonograph. (0:05) So obvious that Sowon also lives in fairly modern time (Buildings outside, the album photos, outfit). But she is surrounded by multiple classic ornaments(the lamp, perfume bottle). And is that the plant from "Sunny Summer" on the left of the screen? (The one she watered). (0:09) Yuju is definitely not at the same time with SinB and Sowon. (Classical Clothing, old decoration, and utensils) (0:14) Umji is a little bit confusing, but I think she is in modern time. (0:17) (0:19) Yerin looks in the classical dimension with Yuju) (0:22) Eunha is the most confusing one in Teaser 1, she looks like in the classic dimension with Yerin and Yuju, but she is not inside like the other members are. (0:24) 5:30, Eunha's Birthday, isn't it? (0:27) Umji finished the jigsaw puzzle with the missing piece, notice that the candles have been put out by some force and the jigsaw is glowing. (0:30) The first time the members are together. Two things worth noticing here. One, all the members are wearing classical outfits. Two, Eunha is magically glowing. Overall, the feeling of the first Teaser 1 is that the members don't live in the same dimension until Umji fix the jigsaw. Then they time travel to the past and meet each other. But why Eunha is weird here? In my understanding that the missing piece from the jigsaw resembles Eunha as from the past MVs she is the "missing piece" of the group. The mixed furniture from both dimensions means they have time traveled before between the modern era and the classical era. But time travel can't be performed at any time. I think the clock scene(0:24) resembles the time travel could only success at a specific time. That's why all the member looks long for each other throughout the Teaser 1, they are waiting for the next opportunity to time travel and live together. From the album in Sowon's hand. We could also know that they have time traveled to the modern era together before. This Teaser gives me a similar feeling to a movie I have watched before, where the two characters live in different dimensions somehow time traveled and meet each other. 5. Jesus, the Sunrise MV gave me a heart attack. I just have too many theories in my mind at the moment. I'll update on the Forum when I'm free. This is Scenario 1 which is a horrible ending and theory and it hurts my heart so much. But meanwhile, it does make some sense so I decided to write about it first. (0:00-0:12) Umji said: "I had a dream last night. The moment we could be together was just short, we were not far away from each other.” "We were not far away from each other.”????!!! The first time I saw this translation and this theory just pop in my mind and it hurt me so much. (0:00-0:07) Sowon & SinB are the only ones in the room. (0:09) Petal Tea (0:10) Flowers(Things worth mentioning) (0:14) Eunha is playing the piano but isn't that the same flower at(0:10)? Also, she is isolated and alone, which could prove she is probably in heaven from surroundings. (0:30) Notice the Song Names on The Disk? Gfriend's old title tracks. SinB is probably following Yerin(Listening to the Tape in TFTMN). To recall their happy moments with Eunha. (0:40-0:42) The creep starts here, Yerin is waiting for a call, but from who? All the other members are not calling in the MV. Is she in a healthy mental situation? Why is she acting like this? (0:52) Yerin again, but with a weird face, is she having a mental problem and she is sitting on some kind of stairs towards somewhere, from the light coming in we know that it's not a balcony, so it's either the rooftop, or........the heaven. (0:57) Painfully looking above....... (0:44) Yuju is preparing some Petal Tea(0:09) (1:10) That's not a normal light, more like an Alarm. (1:10-1:16) How come Eunha is back to life? And they are happily celebrating the birthday of someone? I think this is from SinB's dream(as she is sleeping at the start). (1:35-1:45) The craziest moment in this Scenario, at the start it seems that Umji and SinB are just sleeping against Sowon on the sofa, but later, they are all on the ground. And Until (1:45) All of them seemed asleep, but it could also be they have fainted. Why? (1:45) looks blurry and looks like smoke is in the house. I think they are performing a group suicide. (Burning Coal in a closed room) With the reducing oxygen, SinB and Umji fainted first, then Sowon as well. (1:55) Looks like Sowon is just looking at the sunset, but does she really need to move the curtain away? What I think is Sowon realized they shouldn't do the suicide and then moved to the window to save the other members. (By opening the window the oxygen flows in) The result of the suicide? Yerin----Alive, but in unstable mental condition (Due to a huge intake of smoke). That's why she performed weird earlier at (0:40-0:42) and (0:50). Yuju----Alive, but in unstable mental condition (Due to a huge intake of smoke). The petal tea she prepared for herself have weird steam at (2:04) SinB---On The Edge of Death, But Later Saved Sowon----Saved Umji----Alive, but in unstable mental condition (Due to a huge intake of smoke). (2:10-2:12) Suddenly, things seem to be happy again (SinB's 2nd part of her dream) (2:13)(2:24-2:26) Flowers again, but this time it's Yerin with a telephone, alone. I think this resembles she is DEAD as well as she is in a similar condition with Eunha. How? I think with her unstable mental condition and her moment looking at rooftop, she might have committed suicide after the group suicide event, and in heaven, she tried to call someone? I believe she tries to call Eunha. Yuju is probably dead as well. I think she committed suicide by drinking poisonous tea(2:04) after the group suicide event. And later in (2:57), Yuju and SinB are in a tunnel full of smoke with a light in the end. I think this resembles the road to heaven. SinB was on the edge of death that's why she met the suicided Yuju in the tunnel. But at (3:04), the camera is pulled away from Yuju, I think this means that SinB is leaving the tunnel, she is saved. Umji is the most complicated, it seems she is fine after the group suicide(fixing puzzle, looking at music score of Sunrise, but she later was playing the piano in a while room with paper planes. (2:45) I think this means that she is dead as well. Although I don't have evidence to show that. Umji was quite calm although sad through the whole MV. That's why I'm doubting myself. After the chaos, ends at (3:05), the third part of SinB's Dream. This time, all the members are together. Eunha was in SinB's dream, but she is always alone in a while environment. This means that she is the "Missing Piece" From the Cake, The Puzzle and The Moon (3:39-End) Here's the End (I'm so sad to type this) After TFTMN, the members are devasted to see Eunha. As they gather up to have a group suicide by burning coal in a house. (In some scenes we could see smoke in the house). During the suicide process, Sowon realized they shouldn't do this so she gets up and opens the window to save the others. All the member were saved but Yerin, Yuju, and Umji later committed suicide by themselves. Although Yerin made to the heaven, she didn't see Eunha. Yuju met SinB in the tunnel to heaven and witness SinB being saved. Umji seems to be the closest to reach Eunha as she was playing the piano and in a while environment(Similar to Eunha's Environment and said "We were not far away from each other.” ). In Real Life, Sowon was guilty as she goes through the album to recall all the dead members. Meanwhile, SinB also was alive and recovered as she uses the disk to recall the dead members. SinB can't hold her tears at the end of the MV as now Eunha, Yerin, Yuju, and Umji are all dead which left only her and Sowon. I personally don't like this Scenario as it's so heartbroken and has so many uncertain points. But I decided to post it anyways. Sunrise in my other Scenarios are the end of the series. But not this one, how will Sowon and Sinb deal with even more pain? Under this Scenario, we need another comeback to find out. Anyway, that's about it. Hu~ So Sad but I finished. I will probably post my other Scenarios in the coming days. Trust me, the other Scenarios(1 or 2) are going to be much more relaxed than this tragedy. Till Then, BlueRicky
  6. Hey, buddies here's the Scenario 3 of the "Sunrise". This is also my final theory for "Sunrise". For a long time, the storyline for Gfriend's story has been following the track of the members looking for Eunha. Well, this theory is a completely different story. If you are interested in my other theories for "Sunrise" please check here: Sunrise Theory Scenario 1: Suicide Tragedy (Trigger Warning): https://www.gfsquad.com/forums/topic/4336-sunrise-theory-scenario-1-suicide-tragedy-trigger-warning/ Sunrise Theory Scenario 2: Summoning And Teleporting: https://www.gfsquad.com/forums/topic/4340-sunrise-theory-scenario-2-summoning-and-teleporting/ Let's get started: (0:00-0:12): "I had a dream last night. The moment we could be together was just short, we were not far away from each other.” Yes, Umji said this line. But keep in mind Eunha was in the dream as well. Basically, in this theory, Nothing is REAL in this MV. It's multiple separated dreams by the deceased Eunha. The emotions and actions of the members are changing drastically and rapidly. Which makes the MV looks like a combination of multiple short stories. Dream 1: Members' living status(Throughout the whole MV) The first dream is throughout the whole MV. It's Eunha's dream about how are the members doing after she is gone. As she knows her members well, she knows that Sowon will keep looking at the photo albums and take the responsibility of taking care of the other, meanwhile, she would also hide her sadness to herself. She knows that Yerin would lose her energy, she knows that Yuju would become quieter, she knows that SinB and Umji would take a huge hit as the youngest. In this dream, everyone is sad, depressed and unspirited. Because Eunha knows that the members will be devasted and feel lost due to her and she felt guilty. As the length of this dream is the longest. Eunha probably dreamed this kind of dream most of the time as all the members are separated during these scenes. Eunha probably dreamed about them separately and long for them separately as well. Dream 2: A Birthday Party(1:10-1:16) The second dream is happy and unfortunately short. Eunha dreamed the members are gathered and celebrating her birthday(as she is wearing a tiara). She dreamed that the "fight" between the "Tom and Jerry Line"(Sowon&SinB). She dreamed that elder Yesister take care of the younger one. She dreamed that everyone is having a good time teasing each other. The dream ends with she dreamed about they shared friendship wristbands. The dream is based on her memory of the past and how the members interact with each other and insinuate that Eunha feels lonely and also longed for the members. Dream 3: What if I'm still alive? (2:10-2:12)(2:14-2:16) The third dream is even shorter than Dream 2. Eunha shortly dreamed about what would happen if she is alive. She would hang out with other members just as before. Dream 4: If you could visit me...(3:09-3:31) Eunha dreamed about what would happen if the members could come and visit here. (Or what will happen after all the members died and reunion together). They would wear similar clothes like fairies and roaming around the forest together. Normally, the forest feels empty and boring, but with each other, the journey would be much happier and the bond between the members will never fall apart. Overall, "Sunrise" in this theory was describing Eunha's dreams in heaven. She mainly longs for her members and feels guilty about the negative effect her death brought to the members (Dream 1). She also has multiple dreams about the reunion with her members, both in heaven and in real life if she was alive. Throughout the MV, Eunha is often found in an environment of pure while and she opens up her eyes frequently. This represents the short happy dreams ends quickly and the fact she is alone has not been changed. When she plays the piano, she was also daydreaming about Dream 1 as she is thinking about her members. Only in her dreams, she could have some happiness with her imagination and "brought" the members together once again. So that is all of my Scenarios for "Sunrise" I could probably still write one or two more but I decided to stop here as I don't want to force myself with content lack of quality and limit other buddies' thoughts. Sunrise is such an amazing sun and I believe it will bring me energy when I'm down. Sorry if this one is a little bit rushed. Thank you all for reading my theories. Fighting Gfriend! Fighting Buddies! Regards, BlueRicky
  7. project

Hey guys! So right now I'm compiling a HUGE document (and I'm still working on it) for theories and such. I want this to be a big project so that buddies can figure out the chronological order of the MVs, or what the MVs even mean together as a whole! For NOW! I will only put the document as CAN EDIT, since this is the beginning. However, if quality starts to decrease or people start brigading the document I WILL make it comments only! Heres the document!: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZxbT6v_IWpflhtUAqT-K7u5qGghERmrSWPVfrHqfeUg/edit?usp=sharing I do want to share this on twitter, but obviously there are a lot of toxic people there, and I'd rather not take my chances (for now). So please keep it in this community, or if you do share it, please make sure to PM the person you want, rather than on a page of lots of people!
  8. Hey, Buddies here's the Scenario 2 of the "Sunrise" This ending is neither a good ending nor bad ending. It's a more like an extended story for TFTMN, a sequel if you prefer. If you are interested in my other Scenarios Please check here: Sunrise Theory Scenario 1: Suicide Tragedy (Trigger Warning): https://www.gfsquad.com/forums/topic/4336-sunrise-theory-scenario-1-suicide-tragedy-trigger-warning/ Let's get started: (0:00)-(0:12) "I had a dream last night. The moment we could be together was just short, we were not far away from each other.” Firstly Umji said, "The moment we could be together was just short" means that Eunha has been with members for a while maybe in a dream, maybe in some other ways. Then she said, "We were not far away from each other." Could we understand this as they are getting closer? (0:13) Please take note of Eunha's clothes Notice that until(0:44) Each member's individual shot has CANDLES included. Sowon and SinB don't, but we could see the sunlight and the dress code of them are different from the other three members(Umji, Yerin, Yuju). Candles are normally used for Praying or Summoning in some stories. Until here my guess is that after TFTMN, the members are dedicated to finding another way to meet Eunha. Umji, Yerin, and Yuju found a way to summon Eunha back to life for a while. But the summoning needs certain requirements. At (1:11) We see Eunha with the members, what's the difference between this scene and the past scenes that the members are separated? That's right, with candles, there's is support of the SUNLIGHT. So we know that Candles+Sunlight summons Eunha. Notice that Eunha is the only one still with her white robe at (0:13). She is being summoned, therefore she does not change her clothes. While the other members have changed clothes, for example, Sowon was wearing Blue at the start of the MV, but during this scene, she is wearing Pink. But very soon, at (1:27), we see Yerin looked worried at the window and SinB then checked the clock. What's the time? 5:30. From the sunlight, we could guess it's problem 5:30 pm as there's is still sunlight. Why they are worried/sad, because, without Sunlight, Eunha will disappear. (1:36) The sunlight is completely gone and Eunha is nowhere to be found, the members look sad and devastated. Yerin checks the window again for sunlight at(1:38). (1:40) The cake missing a piece presents the time 5:30. The moment Eunha was gone. From (1:45), we could see that the sunrise again, but Eunha is still not with them. Therefore, they know that the summoning can't be performed at any time and have many limitations. So they can't rely on that to meet Eunha more frequently. Therefore they started to find other ways to achieve this goal. At (2:10), Another successful summon of Eunha. This time Eunha changed her clothes and there were no candles, means the key for the summoning to happen is SUNLIGHT. So what's the new method to meet Eunha. It's teleportation. We could see a failed attempt from Yerin at (2:13), but notice that the place she is at is very similar to Eunha's Environment. This is why Umji said, "We were not far away from each other." Because they are getting CLOSER. Umji is probably the teleporter, she checks the time at (2:38) and interacts with fixing a jigsaw puzzle and the same musical score with Eunha, which could all be the elements of successful teleportation. As Umji started playing the piano at (2:45), we could see that the members started to get teleported. Yerin(2:52) from here failed attempt,Sowon(2:55) Yuju(2:57), SinB(3:00). And finally Umji herself as at (3:12), she also sits on the piano and next to Eunha. Umji has completed successful teleportation. (3:21) We could clearly see the differences between Eunha and others, she is glowing with faded Blue Highlight. As they enjoy their time together holding hand roaming around the woods. (3:41) Sowon and SinB were pulled back to real life. Probably the other members as well. SinB cries as she realized that the teleportation has ended. She didn't open her eyes as she doesn't want to end the time being with Eunha. Overall, Scenario 2 is about more attempts from members to bring Eunha back to them or get them to meet Eunha. Although both ways succeed (Summoning and Teleporting). Neither lasts long enough to make them be together for a decent amount of time. This why Umji said, "The moment we could be together was just short ." Normally, there's no way for people to revive but the members have kept trying. The moment they are together was short, but at least, they could still Eunha as they now have multiple ways to do so. I personally think this Scenario 2 is not that exciting and full of mystery, but it's the theory closest to real life. From Sunrise we could see the members not giving up and deep feeling towards Eunha. We know that Eunha won't be able to back to life. But at least the members could still meet her. In some ways, in some time. Anyways, that's it for Scenario 2, the one being the most realistic but the least surprising. I have remembered from Dreamcatcher's Comeback, one of their members were also trapped in the dream. (Considered Dead in Real Life). OMG, I just received the smell of collaboration. #SouMu Hire Me, Haha, but anyways hope you guys like this Scenario and I'll see you soon in my Final Scenario for Sunrise. Till then, BlueRicky
  9. Some personal fantasies after watching the teasers. (Part 2) Teaser 2 Different from Teaser 1, Teaser 2 has a very strong start and all the member are together and the start. (0:02). (0:03) Suddenly, the era has changed to the modern era, which is a huge switch from the classical era at the end of Teaser 1. And the mood of the members is very positive, happy, and carefree. Which is a huge difference compared to their emotions in Teaser 1, sad and missing for each other. The place they are at is also very notable, a tunnel? Maybe a time travel tunnel? (Followed Part 1 Theory). (0:06) We go back to Teaser 1, the classical era. Eunha was back alone. So I guess that (0:03) was a flashback from the members recall the last meeting in the modern era. (0:13) Yuju is still waiting for someone, we could guess from the prepared cups. (0:14) This is the most important scene I consider from both Teasers. Yerin in a phone booth calling someone. Did you remember Sowon was also calling someone in the Summer Rain MV? Maybe they are trying to call each in different dimensions? (0:15) 10:10. It's not Yuju's Birthday. Then what could it be? And why is Umji checking the time? Is she preparing for the next time travel like she did in Teaser 1? (0:17) Exactly what I have imagined in Teaser 1! Notice that on the left of the room is the modern era and the right of the room is the classical era! In my theory that during the time travel something goes wrong. And the two dimensions merge each other. Which explains why the members have access to both eras. (0:22) Another Phone. Did the call from Yerin at (0:14) accessed? Eunha again, this time on the modern era phots but with the classical era petals. Overall, my theory is that after TFTMN, the girls are giving lots of effort to find a way to get together once again, instead just the "Moon Night". Umji discovers a way to time travel while during fixing the jigsaw. (Probably crossing the tunnel like (0:02))? However, during the progress of the time travel, two dimensions (The Modern Era and The Classical Era) Merged. That's why we see the different ornaments in the same room from different eras. Like the modern speakers and the old phonograph in Teaser 1. However, they are trapped in a limited space (The merged House). And that's how "Sunny Summer" happens, the members are happily together, but they are trapped in the room. Remember that in "Sunny Summer" the members never left the room, they could only imagine or access from other resources like magazines and coloring books to feel the "Sunny Summer". The reasons are that they are trapped and couldn't go anywhere. But they are together, that's the most important thing and they live happily after ever. Timeline: 1. TFTMN---Eunha dies. Member figures out that they could meet each other at the "Moon Night". Umji discovers the way to time travel. 2. Love Whisper---Successful Time Travel, members meet each other by through the tunnel. Eunha back to life due to time travel. 3. Summer Rain---Time Travel fails, Eunha waiting for the members but witness the failed time travel. Yuju, Yerin traveled to Classical Era with Eunha. 4. Sunrise--- Sowon/Yerin tries to call each other from different dimensions. Umji tries to activate the time travel again and caused the merged house and made the members meet each other once again. 5. Sunny Summer---The End. The members are trapped in the house, they lost their freedom, but at least, they have each other. Some crazy fantasies I know. But this is what I hope to be the true ending. This story has been extremely long and I enjoyed every music video throughout. But there are just too many heartbreaking moments and I really hope that Gfriend could be happier in their songs. Although this is not the perfect ending, at least Eunha is still alive and they still have each other. Of course, the official MV has not been released and everything until now is just pure guessing. For now, we could just put our hands together and pray for a Happy Ending for this amazing story. Regards, BlueRicky https://twitter.com/GFS_BlueRicky/status/1084003698345369603
  10. Hey guys, it's BlueRicky. Before I start explaining my theory I need to say that I will probably be miss in action on GFS for a period of time in the recent future. As some of you know, I'm currently in my last year for high school and the pressure and the amount of work has been really piled up on me in the recent days. So I decided to send this out as quick as possible in case I become too busy that I can't even visit the site. Furthermore, my theory this time is based on the "Eunha is dead" theory in TFTMN. (0:03) The first scene of the MV, one thing to notice is Eunha's position, she is far away from the table and seems to be out of the group, while the other five girls are gathering around the table. (0:10) A sock is on the spinning fan above the table where Gfriend gathers. From(0:03) to (0:08), if you keep an eye on the environment behind Gfriend, it's not that tidy. Things are everywhere and don't seem organized. For example, the plates and books are just piling up, towels are just lying on the screen. I believe this resembles the Gfriend had a hard time after they lose Eunha, their life has turned chaotic and they don't have the mood to tidy up and just muddling away their days. From (0:03) to (0:23), notice the direction SinB stir her drink. Every time when the camera changes an angle, the direction will change, she started with anti-clockwise, then clockwise, then anti-clockwise again and so on. Also, Umji was playing a hula hoop, which also includes the movement "spin". So the fan, SinB's drink, and Umji's hula hoop all have been spinning. I think the spinning action here means the utter disorder happened to Gfriend's life after the tragedy happened, the combination of the sad, depressed and disgruntled emotions. Until (0:26), the MV was continuing the story of TFTMN, talking about the Gfriend members are suffering from the past. (0:27) Here the turning point of the MV, we could see that the fish that Eunha stared at in TFTMN has been moved into a big fish tank rather than a small bottle. The fishes are identical compare to TFTMN's fishes and there are also some more fishes added. I think this resembles the fishes are Eunha's pets, Gfriend wants to use fishes as a way to commemorate Eunha. Which they have moved the fishes to a larger and better place. (0:34) Some photos flashed by which is the content from Yerin reading on a magazine named "Sunny Summer". She soon closed the book which I think she is not in the mood of having a holiday. (0:45) The camera focused on Sowon's earring which was already shown in (0:20), some buddy said it's blue topaz which I agree with them. Blue Topaz is a stone of peacefulness, calming to the emotions, and ideal for meditation and connecting with spiritual beings. Which perfectly shows why Sowon is wearing blue topaz, a way to keep calm and connect to Eunha as a spirit. (0:53) Umji is being dragged away by someone, the first time I watched this scene I felt it's cute but confusing. I personally think that Umji is suffering from mental disorders. In TFTMN, she had suicide or self-injury attempts. I believe this scene means that someone else is trying to put her somewhere safe in case of she doing anything stupid. (1:02) Eunha coughed out a diamond, I think this is a reference to "Love Bug" which one of Eunha's lyrics was "Sparkling diamond in my head". Also, she soon looks through the diamond and saw images with many reflections. And starts from (1:09) to(1:29), Gfriend is together having fun which includes Eunha. I think this is another recall of the past when Eunha was alive and they were having fun together. The camera looks blurry which is even more like a flashback of the past. The recall ends at (1:29) when Yuju wakes. So I think the recall was performed by Yuju which is the content of her dream. (1:36) Umji is using a sock to "fish" Eunha. Remember in TFTMN, Eunha could only appear at night. I think here it resembles that Umji is trying to let Eunha appear during the day. Notice that she also closed the curtains to increase the chance of making Eunha appear. Which also, shows the unstable of Umji's mental disorder. (1:40) to (1:45) Sowon is watering the plants and probably cleaning the room. In TFTMN she seems to be one of the most strong-willed characters. I think here it shows that she is trying to tidy up the mess and creates a better environment for the rest of the members. (1:48) Yerin is alone, she looks scared and the theme of the scene turns grey. Which I think she is in a similar condition with Umji(mental disorder), but just slightly better than Umji, she just has the fear of being left alone or lose another friend. (2:05) The second turning point of the MV. First thing, the sock on the fan is gone. Meanwhile, the background has a lot of plants and things look organized. (The shelves are now cleared if you look closely). I think this is mostly the effort of Sowon, which is trying to turn everything back to normal for her friends. (2:10) Eunha is dressing herself up as a character on a painting. I think this happens in another dimension, which Eunha is trying to "act" like a painting so that the other member could recall her from viewing the painting. Notice the background is DARK so that Eunha might be has a method to appear during the day if it's dark enough. (2:31) The environment looks like a KTV, or Karaoke room which it's dark and Eunha is back with the rest of the members. But it's more likely it's night time that Eunha appears. However, notice there are only 4 drinks on the table rather than 5 or 6. Does this mean they have lost someone else? (2:49) Umji, Yerin, Eunha opened the boxes of cookies. I think the weird thing about this scene is the two characters who have mental issues are together with Eunha. If the follow up the theory above, Umji or Yerin might do something stupid which they ended up joining Eunha. Both Yerin and Umji have some weird scenes during the MV, but I think Umji is the most likely to be the ghost. Later at (2:58), she is sitting together with Eunha eating a cookie and at (3:10) the members are trying to "capture" or "trap" Umji just like what did they do to Eunha. Overall, I think the main story of "Sunny Summer" is the recovery of the members from the sadness. The members tried to recall the good memories from the past with Eunha and trying to make her appear longer than just night time. The (2:42) really worries me which the focus on 4 glasses of drinks look intentionally rather than just a normal scene. Gfriend might have lost Umji or Yerin in this series. If the story continues in the next comeback, I expect something huge is going to happen in the next MV. Hopefully, this series would end up as a happy ending. Thank you for looking my theory for "Sunny Summer", this is all my opinion and there could be a lot of flaws in my analyze. What's your theory for Sunny Summer? #Every day makes me a little bit closer to work for Gfriend Regards, BlueRicky
  11. Hey everyone! Recently, I wrote a bit of a theory detailing what I think goes on inside the MV. While the "Eunha is dead/a mental patient" theory is definitely alluring in a dark manner, I find that they don't really explain some of the things in the MV. Please take a look and let me know your thoughts! You'll have to forgive me for not including MV images though; that'd really make the post too long and it's long enough as it is. Let me know what you think, and enjoy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Main Story: This MV is the story of a girl who undergoes a tough breakup and though she dreams and hopes it could go differently, is eventually confronted by harsh reality, which she seeks to escape. The Premises: Each premise is central to this theory and I’ll explain how each are proven. In the story, the moon represents the ideal situation Eunha chases after, but can’t reach. This is supported by the moon being covered up and replaced at times (more on that later) As well, the moon shows at night and is also unreachable. Every girl except Eunha is a manifestation of her personality/mentality. Think like “Inside Out”, Joy, Anger, etc. all influencing the character. This is a huge assumption to make, so I’ll explain the exact thought process. First, literally all of them are sad. It’d make sense if they all had something happen to them, but… that never seems to show, while the breakup is referenced by the lyrics. Secondly, the lyrics only reference a breakup; nothing else. So there is only one event to focus on that is causing all this pain. Third, I’d be astounded if all of them have broken up with someone all at the same time; their actions don’t really match up, like with Yuju at the gravesite, Umji throwing around paper airplanes, Yerin listening to old tapes, etc. Furthermore, Umji’s planes say “I love mom” and Yerin’s tape says “family trip”. Clearly, that’s not referencing a breakup. In the MV analysis, I’ll explain each of their actions, because their actions are an accurate reflection of the trait they represent. Since they all have a consistent, active character (unlike Eunha, who seems to be a passive character), I realized that each one represents one trait only. Therefore, the breakup and stuff must have happened to Eunha, and each one represents a part of her personality. They demonstrate the internal conflict that follows the breakup. Each girl represents a trait of Eunha’s personality/mentality. As mentioned earlier, their actions all line up with one specific trait. I will explain in the MV analysis. For now, here are the traits each member represents. Sowon = hope Yerin = grief Yuju = acceptance Sinb = reality Umji = innocence This is really important to the theory, so please keep it in mind. MV Analysis: Now that the premises are out of the way, let’s begin going through the MV. Opening: The opening scene shows Eunha in white, staring out of a window. Sowon is also staring out of the glass elevator, and this shows Eunha is hopeful. But when the breakup happens, the curtains close, and Sowon closes her eyes. At this moment, hope is lost, at least momentarily. We watch Sowon open her eyes again as Eunha rekindles her hopes as she escapes/ignores reality to dream. SinB, representing reality, starts her journey down the road to find Eunha and bring her back. Verse 1: These shots actually serve to solidify what each character represents. Yerin is shown as sitting (and feeling) down, which, well… she’s grieving. Eunha is definitely a passive character - she watches fishes all while daydreaming. Umji throws around paper planes, but here’s the important part: All the bits referencing families like “I love mom”, “Family trip”, etc. are red herrings. Otherwise, rip most of GFriend’s families. In fact, the phrase “I love mom” has nothing to do with the video or the breakup - it’s only a childlike statement to prove that Umji displays Eunha’s innocence. Similarly, Yuju wanders about the woods, looking troubled and lost, but she, representing acceptance, shows that Eunha is not yet ready to accept what has happened. Chorus: Like many have guessed, this is a flashback scene. This is a throwback to when Eunha was still enjoying her relationship, and everything was together. Why do we know this? Because Eunha is sitting and smiling with SinB. Remember that SinB represents reality - therefore, both Eunha and SinB are in sync, having a good time. All her inner personalities are also having a good time as a result of this, giving further credence to the idea that they’re part of Eunha - affected by what she does and how she feels. Oscar nominee Yerin’s crying scene further reinforces her assigned trait of grief, and Sowon comforting her shows how Eunha is attempting to push away her grief with optimism and hope. Verse 2: Here is where things start to change, as Eunha begins to accept what has happened. First, Umji comes down from the monkey bars, which were like a safe place to house her innocence. That innocence has began to come to terms with the breakup as well. Yuju lays flowers and the present at the grave. What the present is isn’t important; rather, it is again a representation of Eunha becoming more accepting of the situation, as the grave represents the death of that relationship. At the end of this verse, we’re served with another flashback scene. This flashback goes all the way back to the start of her relationship. Confused about her feelings, her inner personas come find her, with SinB at the lead. The reality at the time is that she’s in a relationship, and everything is happy during it. Yay. Although it might seem out of place, and a strange point to analyze, I think the flashbacks are here to really emphasize the differences in during the relationship and after the relationship aka during the MV. Chorus 2: Half the chorus was explained, and in the next half we watch Yerin demonstrating that grief again. Along comes Sowon to try and cheer her up, and as she does, all the other personas are happy, albeit briefly. Bridge: IMO the most important part. Yuju releases balloons. At first, this doesn’t seem like much, but it shows that Eunha is giving up on that hope of the ideal. This is real acceptance. As we continue, we watch SinB running out of somewhere to find Eunha. At this point, SinB opens the door, and Eunha wakes up; reality catches up to her, and she has to wake up to reality and accept the situation. Chorus 3 (first half): Here’s where the first premise comes into play again. Eunha now accepts her situation, but still doesn’t want to confront reality. As the MV progresses, there is now a lot of lightning and thunder, as mentioned in their MV commentary themselves, and shown in a few scenes. The scene where they’re all sitting together while lights flashed were originally thought to be cameras, but during their commentary they mentioned it was lightning. We’ll take it as a sign to represent the inner turmoil going on. We now get a group shot with Eunha playing games with the other members, though looking noticeably upset. This is because first, she’s in sync with all her feelings and personas again after accepting the reality, but she doesn’t want to be here. Yuju yells from the top of a mountain, wanting Eunha to just accept it and move on, and Sowon, stands with lightning in the background. At this point, Eunha gives up hope as well. Chorus 3 (second half): The reason for splitting these two is because this is where it gets really, really weird. I couldn’t really understand this at first, but my theory here is that Eunha surrounds herself with distractions to avoid all her personas and continue chasing that dream relationship. There is no moon around, but when she wakes up the second time there are lights all around her. Each one represents another desire, another daydream, another dead end that won’t lead anywhere. But Eunha doesn’t care. She’ll surround herself with the distractions, if only to get away from her true feelings. And that’s why the others can’t find or reach her. She’s deliberately avoiding them to distract herself from the pain that acceptance ultimately brings. Ending: During the ending instrumental, we get the conclusion of the story. Umji’s planes are scattered everywhere, showing innocence in an eternal, frozen state. This is because as she chases fruitless dreams to replace the moon she couldn’t reach, Eunha can still maintain that innocence. That’s why everything is frozen. But for the others, Yuju’s flowers wilt, acceptance being ignored. SinB and reality leave behind an empty road; they catch up to Eunha but to no avail, for she ignores it. As Eunha looks back, she acknowledges the reality one final time; no lamp can compare to the moon that she knows is out there. This is even reflected in the choreo - Eunha starts the dance, and as the song progresses she loses her hope and accepts reality, hence SinB ending the song. Conclusion With this information in mind, it’s evident that all of this story takes place in Eunha’s head as she explores her own feelings after a traumatic breakup. The flashback scenes shows us how the traits act in happy times so that we can distinguish between them during the relationship and after the breakup. Each member shows another emotion, and we find that Eunha starts as an innocent, hopeful girl who soon loses that, but can’t accept reality. Her hopes continue to override her grief and pain until reality catches up and she’s forced to accept it, at which point she loses all hope and tries to distract herself. It doesn’t work, and she ends up needing to come face to face with reality anyways. She started the MV in a white dress, and ended it in a black jacket. That innocence, while frozen, can never be permanent. Therefore, thanks to these clues and how each character in the MV shows only one trait in line with all their actions, I can conclude that everything is in Eunha’s head, each member represents different traits in her mentality, and that this is a sad story about confused feelings after a breakup.
  12. This thing has been crossing my mind. Since (tbh) the new concept is not doing as well as they’re expected to be, I think Soumu should have back up plan Please don’t get me wrong, I love their new concept but imho it’s not a good decision and too risky for a small company (from business perspective, i have business background). They did it too soon, should have wait a bit later. But well...Soumu planner & marketer are really smart and I’m sure they fully aware of what they’re doing. I think the may have a plan to release repackage album and will use their usual concept (or more feminine yet mature one) for the promoted song. Or twin mini album like shinee’s misconception will be awesome. What do you think? I hope they also create continuation MV for Fingertip (so the plot will make sense for me). Currently i’m re-watching their mv, looking for hints LOL.
  13. This early 2017, GFriend is coming back with new surprising concept. This time, they are back with unique looks and big transformation as power girl crush! Feb 26, Source Music released first GFriend’s teaser entitled ‘Fingertip’. The production is suprisingly different from their past music videos and many of us were really amazed as they tried a different theme! March 6th is the release of the music video and many buddies who had watched the teaser already gave theories, plot stories like what could be the real concept. Now, it’s somehow interesting because the teaser is somehow tricky and confusing. So what is the concept? But based on the teaser, you will see some basic and simple infos. Teaser is about showing the basic plot before we know the whole story. Let’s see the basic infos first. There are two types of version: Military & Knight Military and Knight have the same characteristics in reality. It’s either: Fighting for someone Fighting for authority Battle War Weapon BUT, all of these are too realistic to represent as a concept for the MV. it should represent an abstract and idealistic plot that will be suitable for the ‘innocent & youthful’ image that GFriend had. As Gfriend portray their stunning and unvulnerable image, another retro-ish theme their trying to pull-off once again, but this time, funky disco! the continuation of their previous promotion, ‘LOL’ retro theme. ‘abstract and idealist’= how? Continuation of retro theme on the mv? Take a look at these.. Roller skates to Toy guns These are the symbols that represents retro Toy guns? retro? If you talked about toy guns with colors, you will suddenly reminisced your youth days. Have you played on Arcade shooting games? Yes this could be the possible sample on what GFriend wants to show. Arcade shooting gun games became really popular back from 2000s. The golden age of arcade video games is usually defined as a period beginning sometime in the late 1970s and ending sometime in the mid-1980s Arcade shooting game has features like low minimal graphics. On GFriend’s teaser, they used a glitch effect which is basic when playing a video game. The glitch effect is giving off an arcade vibes and since they are holding light guns, The graphic effects for gun shot will automaticaly turned into video game effect just like we see in every classic video games. This could be the possible concept for their mv and it looks really interesting! Now the 2nd teaser was released last March 1. This time it’s all about the basic plot of the mv. First of all, why are they holding light guns? Are they like prepairing for a battle? where? On arcade video games, you will have an opponent when playing. It has a place where each people can fight and win. take a look at this. On the first teaser, there is a signage display “FANTASY STUDIO”. it looks like a name of building or apartment that they were staying/lodging. The FANTASY STUDIO might stand as their battlefield. Fantasy means, the faculty or activity of imagining things, especially things that are impossible or improbable. There could be a lot of fantasy things that can be found on the building such as: Trapped in the mirror Lucid dreams Animal toy displays Fast tickling clock Still, we don’t know what the main plot of the story. But this will like focus more on every individual member’s actions. First, they are wearing sleeping pajama so the time plot is night. Sleeping that is connected to dreaming, having lucid dreams and Astral travel projection -Lucid dreams is where you can control yourself in your dreamworld. Internal mind -Astral projection is the opposite. It’s dreaming on external world which can be the same as the real physical world, or different world). In this teaser, Umji and Yerin’s body is being separated. So in the first place the mv is all about having lucid dream, conciousness and awakenening. In this scene, Umji is picking up Sinb’s gun knowing that she’s already down but in the end, Umji was tricked and just shooted using a light gun. It’s Game over for Umji! The scene represents a ‘Gameplay’. If so, there could be someone who is a traitor and someone will play safe. It’s seems like they are having a battle with each other.. In the game, someone could plan to do allies with another people or using a trick/ trap to someone? A message to be left for a person who is missing. It could be a message or just a clue? for strategy (as seen on Eunha’s expression for not being sad) Clock could be possbile as the timer for the game or it’s the time when everything will turned into lucid dreams. It could be the start of their battle into fantasy world Still we must wait for the whole MV and this got more exciting! Zanybros is also known for great plot twists like they did on Rough MV. This coming March 6th, let’s anticipate!
